Scentsation is an innovative team building event where participants follow in the footsteps of well known celebrities to create and market their own brand new fragrance.

OVERVIEW
The aim of the event is for each team to successfully create and market a brand new fragrance. Utilising our large selection of commercial perfume ingredients, and the support of our experienced Perfumers, teams will create and market their very own unique fragrance to suit a specific target audience.  Each team will develop and produce their perfume as a commercial business concern so teams will be working to specific budgets, time scales and marketing deadlines. The first task is for teams to decide on what kind of fragrance they want to produce and the intended audience they will be aiming it at.

A marketing strategy must then be devised to decide on the mediums the team will use to advertise their product. Once the planning is underway, production can then start and teams can visit the ‘Perfume shop’ to identify suitable ingredients and then begin to invent their scent!

With a detailed information pack and advice from our qualified staff, teams will learn the correct way to smell the ingredients, understand how to spot complex components in each odour and then identify how to go about blending a fragrance. Teams will also need to design and make the packaging for their fragrance. This will need to reflect their own brand and, of course, appeal to their target market.

Finally, a sales pitch must be devised by the team and presented to the judges along with a fun ‘advert’ which teams will be required to perform at the end of the event. All of this must, of course, be done within a limited time scale and budget in order for the winning team to come up smelling of roses!
